This beautiful one of kind carved paddle features a Gray whale with baby on the head with eagle, shaman and raven on the handle. Measures approximately 3 feet long. Hand carved by Jacob Joe, Cowichan. The pictures do not do this paddle justice! It is an extraordinary piece.

This mask features a quail design painted on her forehead. According to Jacob, the woman is weeping because she could not find her brother who never returned from hunting quail. Mask is detailed with horse hair and a copper ring. Carved and painted by Jacob Joe, Cowichan. |

Jacob calls this mask the Frog Princess. One eye open with abalone, the other shut. Three dimensional frogs line her forehead, a symbol of the legend where she turned people into frogs so they would feel what that was like. Full size. Carved from alder and detailed with horse hair.
